SHAHEED

Hi, I'm Shaheed and I am in charge of all the 18 mist shots in the video.
It took me quite a long time to update the blog because a lot of rendering time has been taking place hence this late post. All the mist for the shots were firstly done in maya.
Then they were rendered out one by one according to the scene, as in the placement and all.
Once the final rendering are done, Nuke was used to composite everything in the shot(color correcting eg.)

Mid-Week 2

           



                   Our progress for week 2 is going on a moderate pace. We're still handling the storyboarding making some finalisations here and there. After this we would then proceed on to scanning of the storyboards and making a "Lei ca reel" out of it. Alot of references were searched on the net so therefore time was really taken up. On Wednesday 19/9/2012, which was yesterday, the group had a meet up with the Fushion committee to evaluate more on our ideas + storyboarding. According to our schedule, we will only start working on the story from next week onwards. Shooting and on-site approaches will be covered then.

End of Week 1

So we've arrived at the end week of Week 1. For this week, it was basically brainstorming and researching since the schedule says so. As my for part I've actually produced one out of the four finalised storyboards for the presentation on Wednesday 11/9/2012. Here it is.

DAY 1: Brainstorming

First day of FYP, it was basically just some heavy brainstroming. We're supposed to come out with a trailer for FUSION 2013 with the theme of "MADE BY"

Since the first pitch will be on, Wednesday we have to prepare a draft storyboard on how we're gonna handle the trailer scenes. So here, I've drawn out the first part for the storyboard.

 Roughly our idea:
1. We have a prism which will have a sun ray shining through it, then there'll be 6 colours being dispersed out of the prism.
2. 6 colours represents the 6 different courses of SIDM.
3. We will have the 6 characters of the different courses too, will be done using Mocap.
4. Those 6 coloured lines will move in a "racing-like" manner whereby they'll show the videos of the students
    work at the same time.
5. After all those, these lines will merge to form a racing car which will end off at the finishing line.
6. The finishing line will have a banner saying "MADE BY". That's how the trailer will roughly end like.

We brainstorm a few more ideas too, so that we could have a wider ranger of choices.
